About the Doctor
Dr. Raksha D Suvarna is an Ayurvedic Obstetrician and Gynecologist based in Bangalore. She has completed her Post Graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from one of the renowned colleges in India, Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital [Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences]. She has also completed a Diploma in Panchakarma.
Apart from 6+ years of clinical experience, she has worked in the field of the public health sector in an organization called ARTIST (ASIAN RESEARCH and TRAINING INSTITUTE for SKILL TRANSFER) as a Clinical Researcher and Master Trainer. She has been a part of various projects like Health & Hygiene, where she visited various schools and trained young girls and women on menstrual health and hygiene, advocated about the use of sanitary Napkins, and educated about Menstrual cups. She was also involved in campaign on Anemia Mukth Bharath, and campaign on Cervical Cancer Awareness.
She was a Master Trainer for 'MANYATA' - Don't forget Mom's project, which is a nationwide movement Launched by FOGSI. She has trained more than 1000+ Nursing staff (PAN India) on Safe Delivery Module and to adopt recognized standards for excellence in maternity services. During COVID19 global Pandemic she was part of the team where 3256+ nursing staff were trained on COVID preparedness all over Karnataka. As a Clinical Research Associate she has published various articles and was part of some major research projects on Gestational Diabetes Mellitus, Anaemia in pregnancy at ARTIST.
